Annika Armstrong

Annika Armstrong is an MA in Literature student at the University of Colorado Boulder. After graduating with a B.A. in English and a Secondary Teaching Licensure from Southern Adventist University in 2020, Annika taught high school English for three years in Hawaii. Her undergraduate thesis “Power Reclaimed and Given: Female Passivity and Agency in Harris, Brand, and Smith” was published in Southern Adventist University’s Journal of Interdisciplinary Undergraduate Research. Annika is currently completing a thesis on women's education and agency in Enlightenment and Romantic Period literature, specifically Mary Shelley's works, under the direction of Dr. Heydt-Stevenson.
 
Outside of study, Annika enjoys plant-based baking and outdoor activities with her husband, such as hiking, backpacking, and trail running.
