Position

One internship available for 3 credit hours (content creation) 

This position offers assistance with storytelling, digital media and marketing projects in support of Boulder Public Library’s programming, events, and outreach activities.  This position is a paid, part-time internship.

Responsibilities

  • Create and write stories for external audiences
  • Assist with the planning and creation of content for social media outlets, including Facebook, Twitter and Instagram and the web
  • Create supporting text, graphics and video for social media and digital signs
  • Review and track data on the performance of social media
  • Monitor of related social media accounts for content to share
  • Assist with program and event set up, staffing and other duties as assigned
  • Complete research projects as assigned in areas such as social media best practices and other programming projects

Qualifications

  • Self-motivated and able to work independently and in a hybrid work environment
  • Experience taking photos for social media
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word and Excel
  • Experience with Facebook, Twitter and Instagram
  • Experience with graphic design

This position is a paid, part-time internship. The compensation for the semester is $2,000 which roughly equals $16.66 per hour
