Inspections

EH&S conducts routine chemical safety inspections of research laboratories to ensure compliance with university policies and regulatory requirements. Prior to inspections, a notification email is sent to all labs within the building outlining the months during which inspections will take place. Following the inspection, a detailed report is provided to the Principal Investigator (PI) and Group Compliance Liaison (GCL), highlighting any findings or corrective actions needed. Labs are given 30 days to address and resolve any identified issues. The Chemical Safety Group is available to provide guidance or support throughout this process to help maintain a safe and compliant lab environment.
