Rylea Townsend

Hi, I’m Rylea Townsend! I was raised in Hellertown, Pennsylvania! I am a Freshman majoring in Secondary Education and English! I have known since I was very young that teaching was my dream career. I have always loved school and wanted to spread that love to others, allowing students to feel safe and motivated to go to class! I plan on becoming a high school teacher, and I hope to teach my favorite class from high school, AP English Literature! Despite being new to CU Boulder, it's evident that the School of Education is incredibly welcoming and a wonderful place to learn about education and community. On campus, I'm also a member of Chi Omega! I love reading new books, watching movies with friends, and finding new places to get dessert. I'm really passionate about appreciating education and inspiring students to have a love of English and writing, and I'm excited to continue to learn more as a member of the School of Education!
