US news logoThe University of Colorado Boulder School of Education ranked No. 29 among graduate schools of education nationwide and within the top twenty among public schools of education, according to the U.S. News and World Report annual graduate school rankings, released March 20. In addition, the Education Policy specialty program ranked No. 14.

“Especially given our relatively small size, we are pleased to remain among the top professional schools of education out of more than 250 private and public schools,” said Dean Kathy Schultz. “As we further our work across Colorado and the nation, we look forward to continuing to provide perspective on national policy issues, fostering life-changing educational experiences for our students and alumni, and deepening our partnerships with schools and community partners as it enriches the impact of our public scholarship.”

The School of Education is a nationally recognized leader in education research with the school consistently ranking in top tenth percentile of faculty scholarly productivity among colleges and schools of education nationwide.

U.S. News and World Report surveyed nearly 400 graduate education programs with 267 institutions returning data used to calculate rankings. Rankings are based on quality assessments from education deans, school superintendents, and employers; student selectivity; faculty resources; and research activities.
