Sara Bannon

Sara is a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner and licensed clinical social worker. Sara joined CAPS in March 2020, and previously worked at student mental health and psychiatry services at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Sara is passionate about working with students and supporting them through a pivotal time of life, which is often full of changes and transitions. Sara has experience working with individuals across the lifespan in outpatient, inpatient and integrated health care settings as a nurse as well as a social worker.

The thing I'd most like to do

In her free time, Sara enjoys taking her dog for walks, hiking, biking, running, skiing and exploring all of the great parks and areas in Colorado.

Mood, anxiety, obsessive-compulsive, trauma and stressor-related disorders, neurodevelopmental disorders, schizophrenia and other psychotic disorders, substance use and eating disorders.
