LPC

Laura is a Licensed Professional Counselor with almost 10 years of experience in university counseling settings. She is passionate about working with the college population; though this stage of life is exciting, it can be a difficult process developing ones identities, values, and sense of self. Laura is part of the Behavioral Health team, helping students seeking medical care better understand and explore their mental health. She approaches sessions in a collaborative effort, with a focus in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), person-centered, and multicultural frameworks. Above all, Laura prioritizes safety and trust in her therapeutic relationships, recognizing that in order to create room for growth or change, clients must first feel seen, understood, and supported
