Starting in June 2022 and continuing through August 2022, the University of Colorado at Boulder will be going through an audit of our fiscal year 2022 research and development (R&D) expenses.
Every three years our external auditors are required to perform a comprehensive audit of CU Boulder’s R&D expenditures. Awards or sponsored research fall into the category of R&D when they come from federal or federal flow-through sources.
During the audit process, you may receive communication from the Campus Controller’s Office for information or documentation. Please give urgent attention to any requests since your timely assistance is critical to contributing to the results that are included in the state’s audit report and are reviewed by project sponsors.
