The 2021 fiscal certification is complete. 

Thank you to everyone who completed their certification on or before their deadline. We had 100% compliance for the second year in a row!

Each year, officers of the university and designated fiscal principals are required by policy to respond to a 10-question survey that offers an overview of internal controls, addresses essential areas of fiscal responsibility, and provides an opportunity to share fiscal concerns with finance leadership. This is a key component in the university’s annual financial audit and is required as part of CU’s financial certification to the state.

We read every comment and appreciate the feedback provided. 

We are pleased to report that most comments were positive, noting the consistent emphasis on fiscal responsibility/accountability, excellent support and resources, and a culture of responsible fiscal choices. Additionally, there were comments regarding potential gaps in processes and procedures. Your feedback plays a role in the planning and assessment of fiscal compliance activities.
