<p>Gordon attended CU on a Naval ROTC scholarship and commissioned, graduated and married within a 24-hour period in June 1958.</p>

<p>During World War II the campus was filled with coeds and military personnel. </p>

<p>David Hoch is one of an estimated 400 military veterans who attend CU Boulder today.</p>
