CNAIS hosts a number of events each year that build community on our campus and feature current work in Indigenous studies and related fields at CU Boulder and beyond. Our annual CNAIS Speaker Series typically centers on a theme each year and invites notable scholars, filmmakers, and artists to CU Boulder to present their work. Our regular Brown Bag Series features CNAIS faculty and affiliates at CU Boulder, as well as local and regional guests who work with Indigenous communities. The NAIS Graduate Student Conference highlights the work of students taking our capstone Graduate Certificate course, Indigenous Thought and Theory (ETHN 6103). Our fall Native Student Welcome and Native Graduation events provide opportunities to celebrate our students and build community across the CU Boulder campus. Additionally, CNAIS co-sponsors numerous other events that highlight and support Native American and Indigenous culture and research at CU.
