Angelica Lawson (Northern Arapaho) is Assistant Professor of Film Studies and Ethnic Studies. Her work seeks to examine the intersections of national and transnational trends in Indigenous film and media. To this end, she has worked with Indigenous scholars, artists, and filmmakers from the United States, Aotearoa / New Zealand, Norway, and Finland. Her book manuscript, Indigenous Strategies of Resistance and Resilience: Literature, Film, and Media, outlines a methodology for using site-specific Indigenous worldviews as a means for determining narratives of resistance and resilience in the work of numerous Indigenous artists.
