Peter Fields received his BA in Classical Studies in 2026 from Bard College, where he submitted a senior thesis entitled "Finding the Roman in Romanian: A Case Study of Dimitrie Cantemir's Descriptio Moldaviae Investigating Origin and Latinity in the Romanian Principalities," which explored Classical reception in 17th-20th century Romania. More broadly, he is interested in ancient ethnography, historiography, and modern reception of antiquity. He has worked with texts in Latin, Ancient Greek, German, and Romanian and was a participant in Archaeotek's Roman villa excavation in Transylvania in 2025. Outside of the classroom you can find Peter watching Star Trek, Bar Rescue, or Survivor.
