Isabella "Izzy" Praslin earned her Bachelor of Arts in History, graduating Magna Cum Laude with University Honors from California State University, Fullerton, in the spring of 2025. For her Mellon Mays Fellowship and Senior Honors Thesis, titled "'The Saints are His Army': The Stories of the 6th-Century Najrān Martyrs," Izzy analyzed the hagiography of the Najrān Massacre, focusing on the differences in emphasis and style between accounts of male and female martyrs.

During her time at Cal State Fullerton, Izzy served as the President of the Theta-Pi Chapter of Phi Alpha Theta, which was recognized as the nation's best chapter for the 2024-25 academic year. She also studied abroad in Amsterdam and researched Saint Paul and the Jewish Diaspora in Athens. Additionally, she was an editor for The Welebaethan’s 52nd volume and worked as an archival intern at the Lawrence de Graaf Center for Oral and Public History.

Izzy’s primary research interest lies in the history and hagiography of Christian women martyrs in Late Antiquity. She previously served as a Teaching Assistant in the Art History Department and is currently one for the History Department at CU Boulder.
