Welcome to the Colorado Undergraduate Research Symposium

The Colorado Undergraduate Space Research Symposium is an opportunity for COSGC students to present their current research and projects. This event provides an opportunity for students to be published in official conference proceedings as well as to compete for cash prizes - in paper, poster, and video sessions. We also feature an Industry Networking Event! Students, bring your resumes!

Interested in Judging or Sponsoring? Sign up here! by April 23rd or donate directly HERE. Select CU Boulder, then write in "Colorado Space Grant Consortium Undergraduate Space Research Symposium Support Fund" in the Gift Designation Section.

 

All attendees: Register (Students/presenters must register by April 16th)

Registration is required for all presenters. Each presenter should register individually. Guests (friends/family) are welcome. Guests must register too.

March 20, 2026 Authors notified of Abstract Acceptance

April 13, 2026    Papers Due for Judging 

April 15, 2026    Posters (pdf) Due for Judging

April 17, 2026    Registration due for student presenters (Extended Deadline for other attendees) 

April 23, 2026    Link to Videos due by midnight

April 23, 2026    Registration due for Judges, Industry Professionals, and Sponsors

April 23, 2026    Presentation slides due by 12pm (Noon)

 Prize Categories and Amounts*:

  •  Grand Prize (overall highest scoring paper+presentation score): $1,500
  • Paper Session Prizes (highest scoring paper+presentation score in each session): $500/each
  • Poster Session Top Score (highest scoring poster overall): $1,000
  • Top Posters (highest scoring poster each category): $500/each
  • Creative Video People's Choice Awards: $500/each

* Cash prizes are awarded per team.  Teams of multiple students share single prize amount.
