I have not done any study abroad or travel yet, but I am considering a summer or semester abroad at some point during college.
Someone who is interested in bettering the world around them, not just abroad, but in their own communities. Someone who is active in being apart of said community through volunteering. Someone who is interested in providing and finding ways for everyone to have access to necessities such as clean water, shelter, food, and healthcare.
I would love to be a part of Global Engineering RAP at CU Boulder, because I am extremely interested in learning more about and participating in ways to better the world by providing necessities such as food, clean drinking water, shelter, and healthcare to people around the world, but also people in the United States who lack these things as well. I have studied Spanish for five years consecutively from eighth grade until now, during my senior year, and plan to continue studying Spanish, by minoring in it in college. I look forward to volunteering throughout my college career in order to give back to those in the community around me. I would love to be a part of the initiative to create a better world for people across the globe and to be able to be an active participate in those communities while doing so by learning more about the culture and language of those communities and think that this would be a great opportunity to do just that.
