Please explain why you want to be a member of the Global Engineering RAP at CU Boulder. Please include how you think this community will contribute to your training as an engineer and as a person and how you plan to contribute personally to the residential community: I want to be a member of the Global Engineering RAP at CU Boulder because I believe an experience of learning abroad will help me gain a more inclusive view of global culture, as well as teach me how to interact with people around the world. I believe this community will help me because the skill of interacting with foreign people is important, as these people one day could be my business partners or associates depending on where my career goes. My training as an engineer will be beneficial on top of that because an engineering degree allows me to diversify what I do and where I go in life, due to much sought after problem-solving mentality and the thought process engineers are required to adapt. I plan on contributing personally to this community by approaching the engineering challenge with excitement, solving problems, and eventually traveling abroad for a semester and applying my learned knowledge to make an impact globally.
