I have traveled a lot with my family, Girl Scouts, marching band, and for school. With my family I traveled to the Czech Republic and Mexico. With Girl Scouts I went to South Ireland, England, Wales, and France. For school and marching band I have been on band trips to New York, Chicago, and Austin and am planning to go to New Orleans in the summer. I also have been to at least 10 other states. In all of these trips I have enjoyed learning about the culture and history of each place whether it is about the Battle of the Alamo, Communist rule in the Czech Republic, or the Harlem Renaissance. Learning about different cultures has definitely helped me to feel closer to different groups of people and I want to be able to help advance technology while still paying homage to different cultures.
I am a more introverted person so I would like to live with other introverted people that are focused on their studies. I usually go to bed at about 10 pm so I would like neighbors that are similar or at least ones that will stay quiet after certain hours. I am also interested in music so other musicians would be nice. I also like to play video games and Dungeons and Dragons as well as watch cartoons and anime, so people with similar interests would be greatly appreciated.
I want to be able to help advance technology while still paying homage to different cultures. I feel like too often the rise of globalization has led to too many cultures being pushed aside and forgotten in favor of the advancement of technology. I want to be able to create things that celebrate different cultures, not destroy them.
