Research Interests: My interests lie in the transdisciplinary study of the psychological, neurobehavioral, and sociocultural factors involved in substance use patterns and physical ailments (chronic pain, inflammation, traumatic injury). I am particularly interested in studying the use of recreational and medicinal cannabis and cannabinoids in this context; and also, its potential in the development of novel treatments for pervasive psychiatric conditions (drug dependence, anxiety, stress) to improve standard of care. Another area of research interest is in the restoration and investigation of psychedelic therapy for chronic drug use and/or PTSD while practicing acknowledgement and appreciation of foundational indigenous peoples and medicine.

About Me: In my free time I enjoy trying new things, reading, hiking, thrifting unique items, amateur mycology, spending time with my pets, and tending to my garden.
