Freshman majoring in Integrative Physiology

Research Interests: I am greatly interested in the investigation of neuroplasticity and cognitive decline surrounding traumatic brain injuries. As of today we still cannot diagnose a patient with a disease such as CTE until after the patient has passed. This would revolutionize our neuroscience world as with diagnosis we could then open the doors for treatment of these traumatic brain injuries. This is also combatted with a great passion to change the ever-so-many misconceptions surrounding the neuroscience world. Many don't know the true effects of psychedelic medicine and even have some drugs such as cannabis labeled as a low-risk drug. With proper research, I believe light can be shone on clear understandings.

About me: I am a first-year undergraduate student here at CU Boulder majoring in integrative physiology. I am currently on the pre-med track as an aspiring neurosurgeon. I love traveling, spending time with my family, playing virtually any sport I can get my hands on, and cooking. Originally born in Kansas City, go Chiefs!
