Research Interests: Renée's research program applies an inclusionary lens towards increasing impactful and translatable outcomes in the field of psychopharmacology. Specifically, she takes this approach to develop integrated models of neurobiological and behavioral mechanisms of co-occurring psychiatric disorders, explore the neurobiology of aging, and improve psychological care for the medically ill. Her predoctoral research and training was supported by a National Institute of Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism (NIAAA) Ruth L. Kirschstein National Research Service Award (NRSA) Predoctoral Fellowship (F31AA029632). Clinically, Renée specializes in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), exposure-based treatments, and neuropsychology in the context of medical illness, psycho-oncology, traumatic injury, and co-occurring diagnoses. She is currently completing a clinical psychology internship/residency in Rehabilitation Psychology at the Harborview Medical Center and University of Washington Medical Center in Seattle, WA.
