Research Interests:
I am passionate about behavioral and psychological neuroscience, particularly the brain’s power to influence biology and how our perceptions shape our lived experiences. I am interested in understanding how the environment, perception, and subconscious factors can affect quality of life and patient recovery. I am especially curious about how the widely recognized positive effects of the placebo can be ethically implemented in patient care. I am also interested in psychopharmacology, specifically how substances such as antidepressants and hallucinogens influence the brain and body. At the heart of my research interests is a broader passion for using scientific inquiry to explore and better understand the world around me.
About Me:
Having personally experienced mental health struggles, developing a deeper understanding of the complex biology behind the brain and body has given me profound appreciation of life and a sense of empowerment through scientific exploration. I am currently studying neuroscience at CU Boulder and working with the CALM Center to integrate mindfulness and contemplative practices into campus life. I also volunteer with SCOPE, helping teach and inspire younger students about the creative possibilities within science. In my free time, I enjoy running, yoga, painting, and writing poetry.
