Joshua Tan
Graduate Research Assistant
I am a Graduate Research Assistant at the Center for Infrastructure, Energy, and Space Testing (CIEST) and an M.S. student in Structural Engineering at the University of Colorado Boulder. My work focuses on experimental testing and analysis of iPVC pipe systems and coupling performance under tension, bending, and cyclic loading, contributing to ongoing research supporting seismic resilience of lifeline infrastructure. My responsibilities include test planning and execution, instrumentation setup, data processing, and assisting with numerical modeling. I am particularly interested in structural dynamics, earthquake engineering, and the experimental evaluation of buried pipeline systems.
