Luke Grimes Secures Project Engineering Internship at EMP

I am excited to announce that I will be joining Electro-Mechanical Products’ (EMP) Project Engineering Intern team this summer! In this position I will gain experience in various areas related to EMP’s manufacturing processes and technologies, learning from a more in depth and hands on perspective. I will have lead responsibility on certain projects, aimed at increasing production efficiencies, reducing costs, and eliminating waste from the facility. 

I would like to give a special thanks to the Center for Infrastructure, Energy, and Space Testing (CIEST) lab as I feel the valuable experience I gained in the lab was crucial in setting me a part! The CIEST lab allowed me to sharpen my knowledge and skills in structural analysis, technical report writing, measurement techniques, as well as giving me confidence in problem solving. I look forward to applying these skills that I have gained at EMP!
