Some Kind of Japanese by Robyn Tomiko

 

Stitching together voices and images and stories, this short documentary explores Japanese American and American Japanese sensemaking around identity and belonging. 

 

 

Robyn Tomiko (they/she) is many things, including a PhD candidate in the School of Education at CU Boulder. Robyn talks a lot about conceptual containers and is interested in many things, including stories of subversion and resistance to said containers.
