Leyla Wahedi

Leyla graduated from CU Boulder's Program in Environmental Design in 2018 with an emphasis in urban planning. While at CU, she focused her research on the zoning regulations that alleviate environmental impacts caused by new building developments in Colorado's urban centers. Leyla became fascinated with sustainable planning and landscape practices, and she began interning with CEDaR in early 2017, helping with various marketing, graphic design and event planning tasks. During her internship, she became involved in a green infrastructure research project in Denver where she designed and constructed rain gardens and rain barrels. The project led to local residents integrating green infrastructure in their own yards.
