    1. Welcome back, everyone!

    2. Check-in

      1. Denver Art Museum has a Frida Kahlo Exhibit until January 24th

    3. Please note that two budgetary positions are available.

      1. Election for positions on the 25th. Will not be meeting next week due to MLK Jr day

    4. Officers, please make copies of all the documents you need from the 2020-21 folder and move them to the 2021-22 folder. Don’t remove anything from the previous folder!

      1. Continue using the 20-21 folder until the summer

    5. Recruitment

      1. Pending discussion on recruitment timeline

      2. Plans to recruit 2-3 people this semester which leaves room to recruit more people in the fall

    6. Upcoming funding cycles

      1. Last day to submit for the last funding cycle is next week on the 20th 

      2. First funding hearing is on the 25th 

    7. Upcoming elections - “intern” program

      1. Anuja and Christina C want to move up the timeline for training members who enter new positions by moving up the election timeline to allow for training to happen over the course of the semester.

      2. The intern program allows for greater shadowing of positions that new members are interested in.

      1. Setting up meeting with Jamey

        1. Ask if Hillel cn transfer funds into their personal account for an international wire transfer

      2. Need to review questions before the 18th

        1. Would anyone be willing to drop in during this meeting on the 18th to give interview tips to inexperienced Hillel students?

      1. Haven't heard from them from initial email during the break

  1. Third Funding Cycle

    1. Vietnamese Student Association “Lunar New Year Show” February 20th, 7:30 PM - Chidera & Teagan

      1. Updates: 

        1. Sent the follow up email for advertising materials

        2. Apply more pressure in order to get those materials approved ASAP

      1. Speaker offer was accepted (TB, February 18, 2021). Waiting for the contract to be signed.

        1. Meeting with SR on January 21st 11am. (Chidera-let me know if you can attend)

        2. Marketing needs to be completed by January 25th (Tania and Maya)

        3. TB is not willing to do cooking demos for the event but is willing to give tips, hopefully tailored to college students.

        4. Hoping to announce first week of February

        5. Don't snitch on who the speaker is

 

  1. Once I receive more info for ISS speakers, I will ask CEB to vote on a speaker to recommend to the ISS committee for collaboration. As a reminder this event will be in late March. 

    1. Only received a few prices for athletes on the list compiled during Chidera and Christian’s meeting with the ISS

    2. Probably late March, week of the 22nd

  2. Hoping to put in an offer for the April speaker in the next couple weeks.

    1. Rate for JJ is only 25k

    2. Offor is early so that we do not have to wait

 

  1. CUSG is asking that we send an updated roster with identikeys to add you to the CUSG Canvas page. All CEB members are required to complete training within the CUSG Canvas portal by February 15th.

  1. Suggestion: Complete bylaw updates and elections by April 1st. This allows for enough time for CUSG suggestions on bylaws and transition of positions.

    1. A lot of work needs to be done for all of this to get done before the beginning of April so keep that in mid

 

  1. I am looking to possibly collab with CEB for a smaller event in February for Black History Month. Are you all interested?
