Spring 2021 School Assessment Resources

We are in an unprecedented time when it comes to state-administered assessments of K-12 student achievement. Many states and school districts are grappling with the challenge of administering tests during a pandemic. When test scores are eventually reported, it will be critical to ensure that they are not inappropriately compared to student performance in 2019 without taking into account differences in the participating student population from 2019 to 2021 and without providing context for changes in learning opportunities. We are sharing the below resources to help inform the challenging work that will be taken up by states and districts to interpret and report test score data collected during the 2020-21 school year.
