The Norlin Curiosity Lab orients scholars to research, scholarly and creative work at CU Boulder, helps them find their place in the academic and creative life of the university (the scholar’s path), facilitates relationships with faculty mentors, and assists in the development of research, scholarly or creative project program components.  All sophomore Norlin Scholars participate.

Students meet in large and small groups to discuss:

  • what research, scholarly and creative work looks like in the field
  • who students might work with
  • how to figure out potential projects
  • when to start

By the end of the second year as a Norlin Scholar, students will have a clearer understanding about where their path is leading and a list of questions to pursue for the Norlin project.
