Mammalian mRNA Transcription and its Regulation

The underlying goal of our research is to uncover molecular mechanisms governing mammalian mRNA transcription which is carried out by the enzyme RNA polymerase II. To this end, we use a combination of biochemistry, molecular biology, cell-based techniques, molecular genetics, and single molecule studies to investigate mechanisms of transcription and its regulation in multiple biochemical and cellular systems.
