Support for Teaching and Learning with Technology

The Student Fellows, ASSETT’s undergraduate student employees, are well-versed in using, teaching, and supporting technology. They are available to provide assistance for both you and your students, including:

  1. Integrating technology into your course. Through the Teaching Technology Assistance Program (TTAP), Student Fellows provide customized solutions to support both instructors and students. Past TTAP support requests have focused on Wordpress, Story Maps, Google Maps, and creating podcasts and screencasts.

  2. Collecting observational data in the classroom. As trained observers for the Visualizing Instructional Practices (VIP) Service, Student Fellows help faculty reflect on their teaching using visual representations of what's happening in their courses.

  3. Conducting mid-semester course evaluations. Student Fellows are trained to facilitate feedback sessions that provide insights into how students perceive the course.

  4. Providing an expert learner’s perspective. The Student Fellows contribute to ASSETT and OIT projects, workshops, and larger campus initiatives, especially those focused on student success.
