Academic & Curricular Affairs, Scholarship Coordinator & Analyst 

Responsibilities: 

Scholarship Program Management:

  • Provides strategic oversight of the A&S Scholarship program with primarily responsibility of scholarships awarded from the A&S Dean’s Office.
  • Provides expertise to A&S academic departments to ensure compliance with awarding guidelines.
  • Collaborates with Residential Academic Program leadership to manage scholarships.
  • Participates as an active member of the A&S recruitment team to plan and implement college scholarship outreach and support to prospective students.
  • Supervises the scholarship selection and award process.
  • Leads the scholarship committee meetings.
  • Serves as the fiscal decision-maker on all scholarship accounts, monitors spending.
  • Coordinates the A&S scholarship application and renewal processes.
  • Oversees A&S scholarship awards, including communications to students, scholarship applications, award notifications, donor matching, management of student thank-you letters and disbursement of funds.

Liaison:

  • Works with Advancement to steward scholarship donors, set up new scholarship funds, point of contact for A&S scholarships.
  • Collaborates with Office of Financial Aid to award scholarship dollars, facilitate use of BAM, resolve issues, point of contact for A&S scholarships.
  • Collaborates closely with campus partners including the Office of Diversity, Equity and Community Engagement (ODECE) and the Office of Financial Aid to align programming and efforts at the campus level.
  • Serves as point of contact to external constituents (students/parents).

Data Analytics:

  • Assess student retention impact of the A&S scholarship program.
  • Creates annual financial aid and scholarship reports for A&S leadership.
  • Uses predictive analytics and other tools to identify at-risk students and provide targeted A&S scholarship support.
