Director of Customer Success, GradGuard
Marcus Gonzales is an accomplished leader in customer success, operations management, and strategic partnerships, with nearly two decades of experience across the education, insurance, and hospitality industries. Currently serving as Director of Customer Success at GradGuard, Marcus partners with educational institutions nationwide to enhance student insurance programs, improve engagement, and drive operational excellence.
Prior to his role at GradGuard, Marcus led multi-unit operations for a McDonald’s franchisee, overseeing strategic growth initiatives, employee development programs, and technology integrations. He also held leadership roles in career services and student support during his career in higher education, focusing on improving student outcomes and building strong institutional partnerships.
Marcus earned his Bachelor of Arts in International Affairs from the University of Colorado, where he was a member of the Colorado Buffaloes football team and a two-time Big 12 Conference Commissioner’s Academic Honor Roll honoree. He remains an active supporter of the Buffs as a season ticket holder and is a proud member of the Alumni C-Club.
