Mago Reza

Mago Reza is a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Chemistry and CIRES at the University of Colorado Boulder. They research atmospheric iodine chemistry through laboratory experiments and aircraft-based observations of iodine. Mago graduated from the University of Houston in 2017 with a BS in Environmental Science, minoring in Chemistry and acquiring a teaching certification along the way. Their undergraduate research in urban air quality as part of the NASA SARP program nurtured their passion for studying the Earth’s atmosphere. They taught high school chemistry and biology prior to starting graduate school. As an early career scientist and educator, they value community, creativity, and empathy in the fields of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). Mago enjoys writing poetry and creating digital art, including graphical abstracts for scientific publications.
