Giving in Action: Miramontes Arts & Sciences Program

Every gift to the Miramontes Arts & Sciences Program (MASP) makes a difference. Your donation helps our students succeed, opens avenues for innovation, and funds research that benefits our communities among numerous other avenues that matter most to our donors, students or faculty.

We are so grateful for our supporters. With their generosity we have been able to increase scholarship support and expand our programming.

MASP scholarships awarded over the past academic year.

Donor funds were distributed as student scholarships, and helped fund our bridge programs for incoming first year students, transfer students and continuing students.

I found a lot of support within MASP. MASP was a space where I could be myself. It was exhausting to be one of the only first gen students in my major and I appreciated walking into MASP and getting to recharge.

Summer Program for Excellence in Academics and Community (PEAC)

Welcomes highly motivated first-years to experience university-level material and gives students an opportunity to form a strong community before starting in the fall. Close to 400 students have participated in PEAC since 2014.

Learning, Inclusion, Networking and Community (LINC) bridge program

A weekend retreat for continuing students who seek joining a community consisting of a diverse group of students from all different backgrounds and pursuing various A&S majors. Close to 60 students have participated in LINC since its pilot back in 2018.

To me MASP was a home away from home! It was a place where I could stop by at any time and I knew there was going to be a great sense of community and belonging. The constant support and resources that MASP provided were key to my success and most of my favorite memories in college were with the MASP community. I will never forget the great impact this program had on my life.
