Science Bound

Science Bound

Helping students transition to college and the natural sciences.

Science Bound is a collaborative program between the Miramontes Arts and Sciences Program (MASP) and the A&S Division of Natural Sciences. The Science Bound program is a year-long experience that helps first-year students transition to CU by providing them opportunities to bond as a cohort, develop their cultural competencies, build upon their academic strengths, and find community, both socially and academically. Application to these programs is open to all CU Boulder incoming first-year students in the College of Arts & Sciences who seek to engage in a diverse, learning community dedicated to advancing equity and belonging at CU.

After students complete their first year in Science Bound, they will continue to be welcomed in MASP. They are also welcomed in CUBE, where they can participate in the Peer Mentoring program, offered funds for an experiential learning opportunity and provided opportunities to expand their network in the Division of Natural Sciences.

Application to Science Bound is open to all CU Boulder students enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences and majoring in a Natural Science field, and who seek to actively engage in advancing equity and belonging across our diverse campus community.  MASP does not discriminate based on race, color, national origin, sex, age, disability, creed, religion, veteran status, marital status, political affiliation, political philosophy, pregnancy, sexual orientation, gender identity or gender expression in accordance with state, federal and Regents law.
