Since 1948, the US Army has officially assigned a Professor of Military Science to lead and administer the Army ROTC Program at the University of Colorado Boulder. As the Chair of the Department of Military Science, the Professor of Military Science plays a vital role in the development of the Army’s future officers and serves as the US Army’s primary liaison to the University’s faculty, staff, and leaders.
