Mariko Yoshimura received B.A. and M.A. in Teaching Japanese as a Foreign Language from University of Tsukuba, Japan.  She had graduate course work in Second Language Acquisition and Linguistics at McGill University, Canada.

Japanese linguistics; second language acquisition; Japanese language pedagogy
