LIEUTENANT COLONEL JARED M. RUTKOVITZ

Lt Col Jared M. Rutkovitz is the Director of Operations and Assistant Professor of Aerospace Studies, Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps (AFROTC), Detachment 105 located at the University of Colorado-Boulder and Assistant Professor of Aerospace Studies. He leads a team of 10-active duty and civilian personnel, providing the education, training, and instruction of more than 270 highly qualified prospective Air Force and Space Force Officers.

Lt Col Rutkovitz enlisted in the United States Air Force (USAF) in January 1999. He spent the first three years as a Ceremonial Guardsmen in the USAF Honor Guard. After the USAF HG, Lt Col Rutkovitz retrained into the 3C0X1-Communications-Computer Systems Operations career field and spent another six years performing various roles such as Information Systems Administrator, Sensor Technician, Network Analyst, Information Systems Security Manager, and Configuration Management.

In May 2010, Lt Col Rutkovitz re-entered the USAF after completing Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps as a distinguished graduate at the University of Central Florida. He has served in various roles throughout Contracting including positions at a base Contracting Squadron, Enterprise Sourcing Squadron, Systems Contracting, as well as the AFMC/PK Executive Officer. Lt Col Rutkovitz has also completed a career broadening tour as a 13O Multi-Domain Warfare Officer. He has deployed four times in support of SOUTHERN WATCH, ENDURING FREEDOM, INHERENT RESOLVE, FREEDOM’S SENTINEL, ENDURING SENTINEL, and SPARTAN SHIELD.

Prior to his current position, Lt Col Rutkovitz served as the 9th Air Force (AFCENT) Contracting Division Chief within the Logistics, Engineering, and Contracting Directorate, Shaw AFB, S.C.
