New Chief of Police Randy Repola

New Chief of Police Randy Repola

The University of Colorado Boulder Police Department (CUPD) is both proud and sad to announce Deputy Chief Randy Repola will be leaving to become the chief of police for the University of Colorado Denver and Anschutz Medical Campus. Repola’s last day at CU Boulder will be April 14.

On Thursday, April 13, we will celebrate Repola’s transition with an open house from 4 to 6 p.m. in the Flatirons Room, which is on the third floor of the Center for Community. Everyone is welcome and encouraged to stop by to wish Repola well.

Repola has served as deputy chief at CUPD for the past five years and has nearly 20 years' experience in law enforcement.

In his new position, he will oversee all CU Denver and Anschutz University Police activities. Additionally, he will oversee the University of Colorado South Denver, which has recently been annexed to the city of Lone Tree.

In order to ensure the safety of students, staff, faculty and all campus visitors, University Police collaborate with police departments throughout the Denver metro area, including the city of Denver, the Auraria Higher Education Center, the city of Aurora and the city of Lone Tree.
