Faculty/Staff Commuting Options for Move-in 2025

The university thanks you in advance for supporting students and their families during Move-in Sunday, August 17 through Tuesday, August 19.

Each year, the campus works to eliminate Move-in traffic impacts by limiting vehicles driving on campus. With less traffic entering and exiting campus, the plan has been successful. Move-in will be based on students’ residence hall locations.

Permit holders, commuters and those using meter/pay station parking should plan for closures/restricted access to main campus parking lots Sunday, August 17 through Tuesday, August 19. Make your plans now to use alternate transportation to get to campus or take advantage of alternate work arrangements. Please Note: There will be significant Parking Closures for Thursday-Sunday August 21-24 for Fall Welcome Events.

  • Parking Services will issue permit holder email notifications identifying parking restrictions/closures in their parking lots.
  • Regent Drive and Colorado Avenue (east of the Colorado Avenue/Folsom Street intersection) will be restricted to vehicles displaying "Move-in" permits from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. each day Sunday, August 17 through Tuesday, August 19.
  • East Campus parking lots (Marine Street and Discovery Drive) will not experience closures during these times.

How will this affect you?
