PTS works closely with several campus affiliates and non-affiliates to coordinate traffic and parking logistics for events that occur on campus. Our PTS Traffic & Events staff ensure that adequate parking is available for their guests and that impacts to the campus community are minimized. Public Parking

  • Parking on main campus will be pre-sold permit parking only. PURCHASE A PARKING PERMIT AT http://bit.ly/CUPark
  • Parking lots will open for parking three (3) hours prior to the start of the event. As you enter campus, attendants and police will direct you.
  • Campus parking is limited. Please arrive an hour before the event start time to ensure space availability.
  • Allow yourself extra travel time as traffic may be heavy.
  • When the event ends, expect heavy traffic and approximately 45 minute delays exiting parking lots and roadways.
  • Parking lots close 1 hour after the event has concluded. NO OVERNIGHT PARKING ON CAMPUS.

ADA Accessible Parking

Parking for persons with disabilities is available in parking lots 354, 359, & 360. See Pre-Sold Permit Parking for Dead & Company Map for parking lot locations. PARKING PERMIT MAY BE PRE-PURCHASED FOR THESE LOTS AT http://bit.ly/CUPark

ADA Accessible Parking will be available in the Euclid Autopark for purchase on the day of the event. This parking is $25 cash sales only.

RV Parking

  • RV parking is available in lot 544 (off Discovery Drive in Research Park) fees are $150 per day, NO OVERNIGHT RV PARKING ON CAMPUS.
  • RVs should arrive early. They will be allowed to park only if contiguous space is available.

Parking Lot Rules

PTS welcomes you to the University of Colorado Boulder campus! To enhance the event experience, ensure a safe environment and preserve the beauty of the campus, the following responsible guidelines are enforced:

  • Parking lots open 3 hours prior to the beginning of the event, and close 1 hour after the event has concluded. NO OVERNIGHT PARKING ON CAMPUS.
  • Police will patrol the campus and enforce the law.
  • Fan behavior such as physical disruption, inappropriate language, hazing, harassing, or menacing may be grounds for criminal charges and/or removal from the CU Boulder premises.
  • The following items/activities are prohibited:
    • Consuming alcohol or carrying alcohol in open containers in any street, sidewalk, car, alley or other public area
    • Selling or distributing alcohol without a license
    • Providing alcohol to anyone under 21 years old
    • Providing alcohol to anyone who is already intoxicated
    • Driving under the influence of alcohol
    • Canvassing or soliciting/distribution not previously authorized by the University of Colorado
    • Deep fryers or any oil-based cooking or frying
    • Open flame fires of any kind. (Charcoal or gas cooking is permitted.)
    • Weapons and fireworks
    • Saving parking spaces
    • Hiring of any third party vendors/consultants/entertainers to provide services in a parking lot without prior written authorization from the University Risk Management, Parking and Transportation Services and Police Department.
  • CU Boulder is a smoke free campus, this includes cigarettes, marijuana, and vapor.
  • The university reserves the right to determine the appropriateness of any item or activity and to restrict vehicles due to safety reasons. At its discretion, the university may terminate or take other appropriate action against individuals, groups, or organizations whose conduct is irresponsible, unreasonable, or inconsistent with university policies and regulations, ordinances and laws.

Ralphie's Independence Day Blast

Public parking on Main Campus will be free for the event in the following parking lots: Euclid Autopark, Folsom Parking Garage*, 204, 306, 308, 402, 414, 418, 430, 436/494, 440, and 470. Parking attendants will be on site to assist. *Entry/exit will not be permitted to/from Folsom Parking Garage during the fireworks display.

Free disability parking will also be available in the following parking lots: 354, 359 and 360. Parking attendants will be on site to assist. 

There will be a restricted event security zone just north of the stadium, and no through traffic will be permitted between Folsom Street & Euclid Avenue on Colorado Avenue & 18th Street.

Free public parking will also be available at the 29th Street Mall. The HOP bus and CU's Transportation Services will be providing shuttle service to/from Folsom Field. Check out Ralphie's Independence Day Bus Information.

Large events often have special parking procedures, with attendants on-hand to direct traffic.

Parking for stadium events like football games and the Bolder Boulder typically costs $20.00.

If you attend a smaller event during the university's business hours (8 a.m. - 5 p.m., Mon. - Fri.), the event host may have made parking arrangements that could save you time and money. Contact your event's host, or contact us at pts-events@colorado.edu or call 303-492-1323.
