Walker Orr

Dr. J. Walker Orr is an assistant professor of computer science at George Fox University. His research has focused on artificial intelligence, deep learning, and natural language processing (NLP), specifically working in the areas of information extraction and narrative understanding. Currently, he is extending standard NLP models into new domains and applications. One area of interest is in developing deep NLP models for purposeful text analysis to better understand system dynamics related to WASH. Walker is broadly interested in applying deep learning and NLP to underutilized data in new domains and settings.
