Participate in CU's largest day of service, the Volunteer Resource Center's annual Better Boulder Day of Service on Saturday April 14th. Students, Faculty and Staff are invited to spend the day working with various organizations to complete a service project in Boulder and surrounding areas. Last year, nearly 300 students and groups signed up to participate! Service projects are all different and focus on various social and environmental justice issues that are occurring in our communities. This one-day service program is a fantastic way to get involved and learn more about the people and organizations in the community who are working on an array of social and environmental issues.
This year's event will be taking place on Saturday, April 14th. Start and end times are specific to each project. All Participants will check in at the Kitt Multipurpose Room at the start time of their project. The Volunteer Resource Center will provide each volunteer with breakfast (if the project starts the morning), lunch, and a free t-shirt! Transportation will be provided from campus to the project sites, although some of our projects are within walking distance.
*The Volunteer Resource Center reserves the right to adust and/or cancel projects if weather poses obstacles to traveling to or completing project tasks in a safe manner.
We are excited to be able to offer participants a wide array of projects to choose from. Please read about the projects below and sign up for the one that you are most excited about and able to commit to fully. The times listed reflect the overall time commitment for the project listed including check in, travel, and service. Our projects are designed in collaboration with community non-profits to fit community needs, and therefore they all look very different!
