- Campus experts and students from around the state helped organize the first Colorado Summit on Sexual Misconduct, coming up July 19–20, including CU Boulder employees and a student. Also, CU Boulder's Valerie Simons will give an opening address at the event.
- Chancellor Philip DiStefano named Sonia DeLuca Fernández senior vice chancellor for diversity, equity and inclusion—a new campus leadership position that will provide strategic direction on campuswide DEI initiatives and programs.
- The interdisciplinary Center for Critical Thought, which is housed in the Graduate School, brings together humanists and social scientists from across the university for collaborative research in the field of critical thought.
- High school graduates from underserved communities who are heading to CU Boulder in the fall traveled from around Colorado to campus recently to participate in summer bridge programs, which provide academic classes and community-building activities.
- Senior Vice Provost Katherine Eggert named Daryl Maeda dean of undergraduate education and vice provost. Maeda will succeed Mary Kraus, who is retiring.
- Chancellor Philip DiStefano announced four finalists for the position of vice chancellor for advancement. Finalist interviews will take place in July, and the goal is to name a hire by late summer.
- Beginning July 1 at CU Boulder, masks or facial coverings will no longer be required indoors except when in health care settings, child care settings, at youth camps or on public transit.
