- One of the most prestigious awards at CU Boulder, the Hazel Barnes Prize focuses on the enriching relationship between teaching and research. Nominations are now being accepted through March 1, 2024.
- The spring Involvement Fair is set for Jan. 24. The deadline is Jan. 7 for recognized student organizations and social Greek organizations; governing bodies; university departments and programs to apply for a table. Meet hundreds of students who are looking for a way to get involved!
- The International Affairs Program has unlocked a $200,000 fundraising match commitment, helping support study abroad experiences.
- More than 250 undergraduate and graduate students attended the second annual Physics and Quantum Career & Internship Fair in October. Held in partnership with JILA and CUbit, the event drew more than 25 employers from industry, national labs and government agencies.
- A firewall upgrade is expected to cause outages to CU Boulder online services. While OIT has taken extensive steps to minimize the overall impacts, disruptions are expected during the window of 5 a.m. to 1 p.m. Learn more and prepare.
- Charles Eagan, Deb Renshaw, Rojana Savoye and Hannah Wilks have received the Chancellor’s Employee of the Year Award, which recognizes nominees for their outstanding contributions to CU Boulder.
- In recognition of his innovative research in soft condensed matter and optical physics, Professor Ivan Smalyukh has been named a Fellow of Optica.
- With the grand opening of the renovated Roe Green Theatre on Nov. 3, the university has ushered in a new era for CU Boulder’s Department of Theatre & Dance. To celebrate, the department hosted a celebratory ribbon-cutting.
- The Colorado Buffaloes will begin construction on a new video board on the south end of Folsom Field that will be ready for the 2024 season, CU Athletic Director Rick George announced.
- The CU Board of Regents approved a $43.1 million plan to replace heating and power generating equipment in the West District Energy Plant located on the Boulder campus.
