    The University of Colorado Boulder will test the CU-Boulder Alerts system at noon on Wednesday, March 30. The test will include text messages, emails, social media and website announcements. This spring’s test will also be the first small-scale test of the campus’ new Alertus desktop notification tool. Annual testing of emergency notification systems is required by the Clery Act, a federal law.

    <p>The Office of Organizational and Employee Development (OED) invites CU-Boulder employees to attend the CU Grow Management and Leadership Series spring and summer sessions. Programs are offered free of charge to CU-Boulder employees. The series provides CU-Boulder supervisors, managers and leaders with current, influential and critical topics in the fields of management and leadership.</p>
  • <p class="p1"><span class="s1">Students from the University of Colorado Boulder’s <a href="http://ucolorado.pr-optout.com/Tracking.aspx?Data=HHL%3d%3f.61%3b%26JDG%3c95%3a473%3b%26SDG%3c90%3a.&RE=MC&RI=4100712&Preview=False&DistributionActionID=27310&Action=Follow+Link"><span class="s2">Leeds School of Business</span></a> are offering free tax preparation services under the Internal Revenue Service-sponsored Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program.</span></p>

    <p>It's not too late to apply for a scholarship. The CU-Boulder scholarship application process for 2016-17 is available through March 1 on the student portal. CU-Boulder also encourages students to apply for privately-funded scholarships.</p>

    <p>FLEX bus service connecting CU-Boulder and Fort Collins is up and running. If you’ve been waiting for inexpensive, direct, easy transit service along the north Front Range, FLEX will take you where you need to go. Two special events will take place Jan. 21 in both Fort Collins and Boulder to celebrate the start of service and the growing connections between Fort Collins and Boulder. </p>

    <p>CU-Boulder's annual Housing Fair will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 20, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the UMC Glenn Miller Ballroom. Hosted by Off-Campus Housing and Neighborhood Relations, the fair offers students a convenient way to view hundreds of local properties. More than 50 local landlords, property managers and real estate agents will be at the fair.</p>
  • <p>As the new year begins, university personnel are reminded to complete a Disclosure of External Professional Activities (DEPA) in order to meet conflicts of interest disclosure requirements. A 2016 DEPA is required of all faculty and other designated groups. In general, those other groups include all research personnel, staff who support department compliance reporting processes, and students engaged in research (i.e. all personnel responsible for the design, conduct, or reporting of research).</p>

    <p>The Office of Organizational and Employee Development invites CU-Boulder employees to attend upcoming seminars and courses. January and February's featured seminars include: Emotional Intelligence, StrengthsQuest, Managing the CU-Boulder Way and Real Colors. Programs are offered free of charge to CU-Boulder employees.</p>

    <p>As part of CU-Boulder’s commitment to fostering an accessible campus environment, OIT recently licensed SensusAccess, an online service that allows anyone with an @colorado.edu email address to upload a document and have it automatically converted to an accessible document type. </p>
