Integrity Week | 2016-2017

What is your definition of Integrity hashtag NSGS Integrity

Integrity matters because it’s at the foundation of any successful community. Without integrity, a leader cannot engender trust. Without integrity, academic accomplishments are without meaning. That’s why we consider it the foundation of our pillars of Scholarship, Leadership, and Service.  NSCS’ integrity initiative was inspired by a National Ethics Project created by The Association of College Honor Societies, which serves as an accrediting agency for honor societies.  Through this program, we wish to encourage students to do something more impactful on their campus than just signing a contract to adhere to integrity but encouraging new ways of showing and discussing integrity.

Goals

  • Raise awareness about integrity at all NSCS chapters and encourage member involvement that influences the entire campus
  • To create campus activities and challenge peers to discuss this pillar
  • To include ideas of integrity outside the usual idea of ‘academic integrity’
  • Abiding the CU-Boulder Honor Code

Activities

  • Academic Integrity (Monday)
    • We're going to have a General Body Meeting at 6:30 in Hellems 211 where we will discuss academic strategies pertaining to effective studying, time management, planning, and getting to know/adjusting to your teachers.
  • Wellness Integrity (Tuesday)
    • We are going to be holding a Wellness Yoga/Mindfulness Session in UMC 386 at 6:30 pm. Come join us for an opportunity to remove some stress caused by all that work on developing your mind and take some time to take care of your body and soul.
  • Professional Integrity (Wednesday)
    • We will be focusing on Professionalism, so we will be holding a Resume and Cover Letter workshop with Bailey Gannett and Alicia Johnson from Career Services at 5:30 pm in UMC 245. Whether you think your resume game is on point, know it needs work, or it's non-existent, we highly suggest coming. Having the opportunity to sit down and get some pointers can make all the difference to get you to that crucial interview stage in the hiring process.
  • Personal Character (Thursday)
