Biography

Jessica Doty was named Associate Vice Chancellor for Health and Wellness in April 2023 after serving in the role in an interim capacity since early 2022. Health and Wellness Services provides a holistic suite of medical, clinical and disability services, as well as health promotion and education for CU Boulder students, faculty and staff. During her tenure, Doty has led the university through a restructuring that elevated CU Boulder’s focus on health and well-being. This included a shift of HWS from the Division of Student Affairs to Strategic Resources and Support, as well as bringing the Faculty and Staff Assistance Program (FSAP) under the HWS umbrella.

Prior to her current role, Jess served as the Assistant Vice Chancellor for Health & Wellness Services. She joined CU Boulder in 2011 and served in several leadership roles including the director of Student Conduct and Conflict Resolution as well as the director of Administrative Services for Health and Wellness Services. She has been a key leader in Health and Wellness Services over the past few years, establishing commercial billing in the health center, operationalizing pandemic protocols, and launched the inaugural Testing Center for students seeking accommodations

Jess earned a BS in Business from St. Cloud State University and a MA in Educational Leadership with an emphasis in Student Development. In 2020, she graduated with a Doctor of Educational Leadership and Equity from the University of Colorado Denver. Her dissertation focused on restorative justice as a response to student behavior.

As a MN native, Jess enjoys camping, hiking, and skiing.
