Chip Fisher has a BS and MS degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Colorado at Boulder. Since graduating in 2009, he has gained experience in renewable energy technology and advanced materials development as a professional research assistant in Dr. Alan Weimer’s research lab at CU-Boulder. Chip has been involved with projects focused on biomass gasification, nuclear energy, reverse osmosis and nanofiltration membranes, Li-ion batteries, sunscreens, and variable resistance materials. The Reinvent the Toilet Challenge grant to develop the Sol-Char Toilet is Chip’s first step into the world of WASH and environmental engineering for developing communities.
